Sterling Agate
Earrings Scottish pebble or
agate jewelry became popular in the later half of
the 19th century partially due to Queen Victoria
visits to her Scotland castle. This colorful set
of earrings was created shortly after that time
but perhaps was inspired by the Victorians love
for agate jewelry. The banded agates in these
earrings are framed with silver and are suspended
from geometrically decorated sterling. At the top
of the earrings sits a single shimmering
marcasite.Signed sterling, measures 2-1/4"
by 1/2". Excellent condition.
